The Port of Harlingen serves as a main economic driver for the region contributing to local and state resources through maritime and multi-modal transportation services. As a self-sustaining political entity of the State of Texas, we are committed to transparency, accountability and fiscal stewardship.

In addition to our ad-valorem tax, The Port of Harlingen also generates funds through its business lines, which include cargo, rail, and land leases to on-site terminal operators.
