Visit the port

A major part of our strategic plan is educating our community about The Port of Harlingen, the port industry and its operations. As more COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, we are now offering tours of our Port and its facilities, and off-site presentations.

Tours: For community tours or school tours, we can accommodate no more than 20 people at once. An onsite-tour can include:

  • Powerpoint presentation about the Port
  • In-vehicle guided tour of our dock and facilities
  • Tour of our sugar mill warehouse and cotton gin
  • Groups of five individuals or less may be eligible pending approval of time facilities, and weather.

Off-Site Presentations: You can also schedule for us to come to present to your organization. This is preferred for groups larger than 20 people and includes a 20 to 30 minute power point presentation and a Q&A session.
