A Note from Port Director, Walker Smith:

I wanted to take this moment to personally thank you for your support of the Port of Harlingen Authority. Enclosed is a copy of our annual report for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 highlights, stories and end of year reports.

We are excited to share all that happened at the Port last year. From our highs of launching our new branding to some of our lows, including the closing of our longtime partner, The Rio Grande Valley Sugar Growers, Inc. As one of our stakeholders, we are glad to share our celebrations, success and losses with you.

One of our main areas of focus over the last decade is to strengthen our core values, execute growth strategies and serve our community. As we move through this new fiscal year, we will work to continue these goals and strive to enhance not only the Port of Harlingen, but our entire region.

I look forward to what the future holds and know that you, our stakeholders and community, are our biggest asset. Thank you again for your time and dedication to enhancing transportation, our economy, and our communities.
